A man and a woman have been injured in an aggravated burglary at their home in Co Galway yesterday evening.
The pair, both in their 30s, were returning home from work with their two children when three men entered the house at Parkwest, Clonberne and assaulted them.
The two children were uninjured in the incident, which happened at around 7.30pm.
The men took a sum of money, as well as mobile phones, and left the house.
They are described as being eastern European, thinly built and between 1.7m and 1.8m tall.
It is not known what direction they travelled in when leaving the house.
Gardaí are asking for anyone who may have seen anything unusual in the area between 7pm and 8pm on Tuesday 5 January to contact them at Tuam Garda Station on 093-70840, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666111 or at any garda station.
