Investigation after shooting at halting site in Co Waterford

An investigation is under way after a shooting at a halting site in Co Waterford yesterday evening.

It is understood two suspects were seen getting out of a vehicle and one of them fired two shots at around 6.30pm.

Three people were arrested nearby and taken to Dungarvan Garda Station. 

One was transferred to Tramore Garda Station.

No one was injured in the incident and there was no damage to property.

Gardaí say the individuals arrested were between 16 and 18 years old.

They believe the incident is part of an ongoing feud between a number of families.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
