Two men have have died following separate tragedies in Co Clare in the past 24 hours.
A man in his 50s died this evening after becoming trapped in a dumper truck near Fanore in the north of the county.
He had been working on the vehicle when the bucket collapsed on top of him.
Ambulances, paramedics and fire crews from Ennistymon responded to the incident, however, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's body was removed to University Hospital Limerick for a post mortem.
In a separate incident last night a man died tragically in an accident at his home near Doonbeg.
The 54-year-old suffered fatal injuries while operating a rotary mower on land at his home at Shragh.
Inspectors from the Health and Safety Authority visited the site of the fatality today.
Both tragedies are being investigated by gardaí, while the county coroner has also been informed.
