David Drumm's bail hearing set for tomorrow has been postponed as his lawyer needs more time to prepare his case.
The former Anglo Irish Bank CEO has been held in custody since his arrest on Saturday.
Lawyer Tracey Miner told the court that she needed time to develop "factual support" for the special circumstances that she intends to argue exist, in order to justify his release on bail.
She said she is also awaiting information relating to these special circumstances from legal counsel in Ireland.
A new bail hearing has now been set for 26 October instead.
Mr Drumm will remain in custody until at least that date.
