Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward to a shooting that took place in Dublin this evening.
The shooting happened in Cherry Orchard Parade at 6.20pm.
A man in his 20s received a number of gunshot wounds to his body. He was discovered on a green area close to the rail line at Cherry Orchard.
He was taken to St James's Hospital.
