A man remains in a critical condition after a stabbing incident in Dublin city centre last night.

The incident occurred at around 8pm in Fleet Street in Temple Bar.

It is understood the man was stabbed in the face.

He was taken to St James's Hospital where his condition is described as critical.

There have been no arrests in connection with the incident and investigations are continuing.
