The post mortem carried out on the body of a woman found dead in rural Limerick has revealed that she did not die by criminal or violent means.

Teresa Nyst, 65, was discovered with a head injury at the rear of a neighbour's house in an area known as Ballygibba, located between Bruree and Kilmallock, at around 3pm yesterday.

She was the mother of two grown up daughters and a son.

She was found just 400 metres from her own home.

It is understood the woman, who is from the local area, is survived by a number of grown-up children.
