Gardaí are treating the death of a woman in rural Co Limerick this afternoon as suspicious.
The woman's body was found at the back of a house at an area known as Ballygibba, located between Bruree and Kilmallock, shortly before 3pm.
It is understood the woman aged in her 50s had sustained a head injury.
The woman's body was found 400 metres from her own home.
The area has been sealed off for a forensic examination.
State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy is due to examine the scene and to carry out a post mortem tomorrow.
