Gardaí say a suspect device has been found in Dún Laoghaire in Dublin.
The discovery was made outside the door of an apartment in The Mews apartment block on Rochestown Avenue.
It was found at around 8.30pm.
Members of the Defence Forces EOD unit were called to the scene.
A number of homes in the area were evacuated.
