Man accused of Waterford petrol bomb attack given bail

A man has appeared in court charged following a petrol bomb attack on a house in Waterford earlier this month.

Gregory Hennessy, 23, appeared at Waterford District Court charged with reckless endangerment by throwing a petrol bomb in through the sitting room window of a house in Ballybeg.

He is also charged with causing criminal damage by fire to the property and contents of the house.

Judge Kevin Staunton granted him bail on a €2,000 bond with conditions.

Mr Hennessy must sign on at Waterford Garda Station three times a week and abide by a curfew from 10pm to 7am daily.

He was also ordered not to approach or interfere with any witnesses in the case.

He is due back in court again on 25 November.
