Gardaí are investigating a serious sexual assault on a woman in her 70s in Co Kerry.
An intruder entered the woman's home in a village in the south of the county on Saturday morning and attacked her.
The man escaped before the woman raised the alarm.
She was later treated in the sexual assault unit at Cork University Hospital.
The woman is said to be deeply traumatised by the attack.
Separately, gardaí are investigating a serious sexual assault at a car park in the centre of Killarney.
A woman, who is in her 30s, was attacked as she walked home in the early hours of this morning.
