A man in his 50s remains in custody after he was arrested digging up almost €1m in cash near Castleconnell, Co Limerick.
A second man, aged in his 40s, who was also arrested has been released from custody.
The money is believed to be the proceeds of crime.
It followed a five-month investigation led by the Divisional Drugs Unit backed up by crime units across Limerick.
The man is being held at Henry Street Garda Station in Limerick.
