Shots were fired into the entrance of a hotel in Glasnevin in Dublin overnight.
Gardaí are investigating after a gunman fired a number of shots at the hotel on Botanic Road at 3.30am.
He then made off on foot along Mobhi Road.
No one was injured in the incident.
A forensic examination of the scene has been carried out.
