Cannabis with an estimated street value of €1.3m has been seized in Drogheda and Dublin.

Gardaí raided a house in Drogheda after earlier stopping and searching a vehicle in Blanchardstown in Dublin on Friday night.

Officers say they discovered a cannabis cultivation operation in the house in Co Louth, finding plant and herb with a potential street value of around €600,000.

Two men arrested in Dublin are due in court tomorrow.

In another operation, Gardaí recovered cannabis worth an estimated €700,000 in Tallaght in Dublin.

The discovery was made following a planned Garda search of a house in Hazel Grove Court yesterday evening.

The seizure was part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of drugs in the Tallaght area.

No arrests were made after this raid and investigations are ongoing.
