The body of a woman in her 30s has been found at a house in Longwood, Co Meath.
The discovery was made at around 5pm at a house in Edgeworth Court.
A man, also in his 30s, has been taken to Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
The area has been sealed-off and the State pathologist's office has been informed.
The Garda Technical Bureau is to carry out a forensic examination of the scene.
