A 29-year-old man has been arrested following the discovery of a body in Cootehill, Co Cavan.
The body of the man, believed to be in his early 30s, was found in a house at Lodge View at 1.05am.
The victim has been named locally as Emmet Connolly.
The scene has been sealed-off for a technical examination and the State Pathologist's Office has been called.
