A man appeared before a special sitting of Portlaoise District Court this morning in relation to the possession of two sawn-off shotguns.
Luke Jacob, 29, from The Oaks, Kilnacourt, Portarlington, Co Laois also faced charges of possession of a handgun and ammunition at Kilnacourt, Portarlington.
A quantity of cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €10,000 was also seized during the search operation.
Mr Jacob is to appear before Portlaoise District Court on Thursday.
