The death of a man in a Garda Station in Co Waterford is being investigated by the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission.
The commission was contacted by the Garda Commissioner's office this morning after 21-year-old Nathan Kirby was found dead in a cell in Dungarvan Garda Station shortly before 12pm.
GSOC has launched an investigation and a post-mortem examination will take place tomorrow at Waterford Regional Hospital.
Foul play is not suspected.
The man was arrested for public order offences in Dungarvan at around 11am.
