A teenage boy and a young girl have lost their lives following separate farm accidents.
A 14-year-old boy died on a farm at Ahalin near Ballingarry in Limerick yesterday.
It is believed he was using a power hose when the accident happened.
A post-mortem examination is to be carried out today at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital, Limerick.
Separately, a nine-year-old girl has died in hospital after an accident on a farm in Co Laois last Sunday.
The young girl died at Temple Street Children's Hospital in Dublin.
