A 14-year-old boy died in a farming accident in Co Limerick this afternoon.

The incident happened on a farm at Aughalin, Ballingarry, at around 2.45pm.

The boy was power hosing in a shed on his grandfather's farm when the accident happened.

His body has been taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine how he died.
