CCTV footage from a number of premises in the Ballinamore area of Co Leitrim will be examined by gardaí investigating the the disappearance and reappearance of property developer Kevin Michael McGeever.
Mr McGeever was reported missing to gardaí in Gort, Co Galway in May of last year by his partner.
Last Tuesday night at around 10pm a couple driving on the Swanlinbar to Ballinamore road found Mr McGeever on the road.
They brought him to Ballinamore Garda Station.
From there he was taken to Mullingar Hospital where it is understood his condition is improving.
It was noted he had the word 'thief' etched on his forehead.
He is expected to be formally questioned by gardaí in the coming days.
The couple who found Mr McGeever, Catherine Vallely and Pat Rehill, told RTÉ News that Mr McGeever said that he had been dumped out of a van by three men.
They said that he had no shoes on and did not know where he was or what day it was.
It is understood Mr McGeever claims he was kidnapped at gunpoint from his home in Co Galway and was kept in a container for eight months, suffering regular beatings.
