Three accused of 100 allegations of sexual assault on young woman

Three people have been served with books of evidence at Roscommon District Court in relation to 100 allegations of sexual assault on a young woman.

One of the accused is a man in his 50s who was charged with 55 counts of sexual assault and the rape of a woman on dates between 2004 and 2007.

The man is set to return for trial at the Central Criminal Court.

A woman, 46, is also facing 42 charges of sexual assault, including using a child for sexual exploitation.

She is also charged with wilfully ill-treating and neglecting a child in care on dates between 2004 and 2007.

The accused woman will be tried at Roscommon Circuit Court on 27 November.

A 58-year-old man is facing three charges of sexual assault on the same woman on dates between 2004 and 2006.

He was also returned for trial in Roscommon on 27 November.
