Part of a historic 236-year-old bronze bell has been found after being stolen from an arts centre in Castleisland, Co Kerry, two weeks ago.
Around one quarter of the bell and the clapper was found in a laneway in Castleisland.
Ivy Leaf Arts Centre manager Jerome Stack has appealed for information on the rest of the bell and said if it was found it may be possible to repair the artefact.
The bell was previously mounted in the gable of the former Church of Ireland church, before the building was converted into the Ivy Leaf Arts Centre in 1982.
The bell was taken down due to safety concerns and housed inside the building.
It was cast in Gloucestershire, England, in 1776 by well-known bell-founder Thomas Rudhall and is thought to be one of only 16 such bells worldwide.
