Police in Northern Ireland say a suspected IRA member has been arrested on suspicion of firing a burst of automatic fire at officers in Belfast last month.
The 57-year-old man was arrested today and could be questioned for up to a week before being charged or released.
About 10 bullets were fired on 13 July at police in Ardoyne during riots in the area. No officers were hit.
