A 52-year-old man has been arrested in Belfast for an offence of trafficking in weapons.
PSNI officers made the arrest under a European Arrest Warrant, issued by the Portuguese authorities.
It is understood the man will be brought to court in Belfast tomorrow when extradition proceedings are expected to begin.
