An investigation is being carried out in Waterford into two incidents in which gun shots were discharged in the same housing estate in Waterford city.
Gardaí were called to a house at Pinewood Drive in Hillview in the early hours of Monday morning when a shot had been discharged through the front sitting room window.
There were a number of people in the house at the time but they were all upstairs in bed.
Elsewhere, in the early hours of yesterday morning a gunshot was fired throught the sittingroom window of a house at Oak Drive in Hillview.
There were people in the house at the time but they were all upstairs.
Nobody was injured in either incident.
Gardaí believe that both incidents are connected and were carried out by the same people.
A number of lines of inquiry are being followed by gardaí.
