A Co Cork man has admitted murdering his neighbour and setting fire to his apartment in Youghal last year.
William O'Leary, aged 32, of North Main Street in Youghal changed his plea to guilty on the second day of his trial for the murder of Michael O'Shea on 13 January 2011.
The court heard he attacked Mr O'Shea after asking him for the use of his mobile phone. He also pleaded guilty to arson and theft.
O'Leary was sentenced to the mandatory life sentence for murder.
