Gardaí in Co Mayo have launched an investigation following the fatal shooting of a man this afternoon.
The man, aged 71, died in hospital after receiving serious injuries in the incident which occurred at Wallpark in Glencorrib at around 2.15pm.
The office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
Gardaí have arrested a man in his early 30s in connection with the shooting.
