The PSNI were dealing with a security alert close to the border in Newry after a van was abandoned with its engine running last night.
Police in Newry say the Fathom line, between Drumalane Road and the border, was closed earlier this morning.
The alert was sparked following a report of a suspicious van in the area.
The PSNI had advised people that, if they come across anything suspicious in the area, not to touch it but to report it to police immediately.
