A man in his 20s and a 16-year-old youth have been arrested over a suspected gang rape in Co Limerick last February.
The investigation follows a complaint made by a 16-year-old girl.
The girl subsequently made a statement that she was raped and sexually assaulted by a number of people on 1 February.
Gardaí in Limerick and Cork were involved in the investigation that resulted in today’s arrests.
The teenager is being held at Bruff Garda Station and the 20-year-old man is being detained at Mallow Garda Station.
