A man has died following a stabbing in Wexford town in the early hours of this morning.
The 27-year-old man answered a call to the door of his home in Hollyville Heights shortly after midnight and was involved in an altercation with another man.
The man received stab wounds and was taken to Wexford General Hospital. He died as a result of his injuries some time later.
Gardaí have launched a murder investigation and the scene has been preserved.
