Gardaí are investigating two fires at the same housing estate in Waterford city in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí believe the fires were caused by something that was put through the letter boxes of both houses in Templars Hall between 2am and 4am.
The two homes were occupied at the time but no-one was injured.
Both scenes have been preserved for a technical examination.
