Gardaí have launched an investigation following a robbery at a jewellers in Maynooth, Co Kildare.
Three men entered the store on the town's main street at around 11am and assaulted the shop assistant with an imitation firearm.
They took what has been described as a large quantity of jewellery.
The men left the shop on foot and gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them at Leixlip or Maynooth garda stations.
