Five set for court over robberies

Five men are expected to be brought before the District Court in Dublin tomorrow in connection with a series of robberies and burglaries in counties Dublin, Louth and Meath.

On Friday, gardaí arrested a total of nine Romanian nationals, seven men and two women, following searches of houses in the vicinity of the North Circular Road in Dublin.

Two men have been already been charged in connection with the investigation.

Homes and businesses have been targeted in the robberies. Furniture and electronic equipment such as televisions and phones have been stolen.

€40,000 worth was taken from one building last weekend.
