A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the death of Oughterard publican and school teacher John Kenny.
The man was arrested in Galway City at 9pm and is
being held at Millstreet Garda Station.
Mr Kenny died as a result of injuries sustained in an attack.
His body was found on Sunday evening on the ground floor of the pub he ran on the village's Main Street.
