A man in his 20s, who was being questioned by gardaí in Cork over an arson attack last year, has been released without charge.
A file is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The attack took place at the home of an 87-year-old woman on Blarney Street in the city last December.
The pensioner was hospitalised for smoke inhalation.
