Gardaí investigating the murder of a man in Cork last week have recovered a substantial quantity of cash from a rented premises used by the man.
Officers seized over €30,000 in cash from a premises rented by Darren Falsey and they are investigating whether the money may be linked to his death.
Mr Falsey was shot dead when he went to answer a call at his rented house at Ashbourne Court in Carrigaline last Wednesday afternoon.
The father-of-two was shot at least three times with a handgun.
He was found in the hallway of his home by his partner.
