Gardaí have been asked to assist in the identification of a man carrying an Irish passport who was arrested in Lebanon in connection with a substantial drugs seizure.
The man was one of four, including two from Pakistan and one from Holland, who were arrested following the seizure of 53kg of cocaine.
Gardaí say the Irish passport was in the name of a known drug addict from Tallaght in Co Dublin.
It is believed the man carrying it was using it as a false identity and may not even be an Irish citizen.
