A fisherman has been hospitalised after he was airlifted from a boat 185km off the southwest coast this afternoon.
The Shannon-based Coast Guard helicopter 'Rescue 115' airlifted the 39-year-old Portuguese fisherman from the Spanish registered trawler the 'Covadonga Primera' at around 12.40pm.
The fisherman, who was suffering from abdominal pains, was removed to Tralee General Hospital.
