A €15m case against financier Niall McFadden by National Irish Bank has been settled.
Mr McFadden was due before the Commercial Court today to give evidence about his assets and liabilities as part of the bank's efforts to enforce judgments for €15m obtained against him.
A previous court hearing was told a statement of affairs listed actual liabilities of €35m and contingent liabilities of €50m.
The bank was concerned he had not fully disclosed his financial position.
NIB secured an order requiring him to file another statement of affairs and the bank was due to cross-examine him on that today.
After several hours of talks this morning, the Commercial Court was told the case had been settled.
No details of the settlement were disclosed.
The case was adjourned to 4 April to allow implementation of the settlement terms.
NIB had sought information about any pensions Mr McFadden might benefit from and if he continued to have any interest in two hotels, the LL hotel and the Clarion at Dublin Airport.
The bank complained he had not disclosed any information about his personal circumstances or if he was working.
It believed his family home was at Avoca Wood, Blackrock, n a house owned by his wife.
He had previously stated he was living in London, but had failed to disclose any interest in the property, the court heard.
