Further decline in number of swine flu cases

Cases of human swine flu and other types of influenza continue to decline, according to the HSE's National Disease Surveillance Centre.

Cases of human swine flu and other types of influenza continue to decline, according to the latest figures from the Health Service Executive's National Disease Surveillance Centre.

Influenza B is now the predominant circulating influenza type.

Cases of respiratory syncytial virus are also slightly above average for this time of year.

So far this season, 23 deaths from influenza have been reported here.
