Gardaí are trying to trace a silver BMW car which they believe was used in connection with the stabbing of a man in Cork city yesterday.
The man, who was stabbed several times in the chest following a row outside his Cork city home, remains in a critical condition at the Mercy University Hospital.
Gardaí are investigating reports that he was attacked by at least two men during an argument on Plunkett Road, Ballyphehane just before 2am.
The man, who is aged in his 40s, is married with children.
They are trying to trace a silver BMW car which they believe may have been used by the attackers.
