Dublin City Council said today that there will be lower water pressure at night until next Monday when the situation will be reviewed.

The council says that the situation has stabilised but the demand in the Dublin region is still 25m litres a day above normal, which is affecting storage levels.

It say there are no plans at present to reintroduce shut-offs.
