Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of 18-year-old Niall Dorr in Dundalk in October last year.
A man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s were arrested this morning in the Dundalk area.
They are being questioned at Dundalk Garda Station.
Mr Dorr died in hospital a day after he was attacked while walking along Castle Road in the town with two friends.
It is believed that he was attacked by a group of at least seven people.
