A 30-year-old man has admitted stealing €318,000 in cash from a bank in Dublin last year.
An employee of the Permanent TSB was forced under duress to take the money from the branch in Phibsboro and leave it near a railway line.
The cash was subsequently recovered by gardaí from Mountjoy.
The incident occurred on 22 September 2009.
This morning, at the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, Tony Quinn from Parkview, Park Close, Ballymun, pleaded guilty to the theft.
Judge Katherine Delahunt remanded him on bail to allow him take up a place on a drug treatment programme.
He will be sentenced next February.
