The funeral of Alicia Brough has taken place in Rockchapel, Co Cork.
The 20-year-old was one of the four victims found stabbed to death in a house in Newcastle West, Co Limerick, last week.
Local parish priest Fr Denis Stritch said her family, relatives and the community had come together in shock and sadness, grief and pain, struggling to comprehend what had happened.
He described Alicia as a kind, caring and loving person, always ready to help family and friends who loved life and animals.
Alicia is survived by her mother Maria, stepfather Paul, her four younger brothers and her three-year-old sister.
Her mother thanked people in the community, people throughout the country and people from England for their kind words and those who had travelled to the funeral to celebrate Alicia's life.
She said the lives of three families had been changed forever by the recent tragic events. She was sorry to see so much grief and she wished it was not so.
Alicia's body will be cremated in a private ceremony in Cork later in the week.
Members of Sarah Hines' family, who was also found stabbed along with her two young children, also attended this afternoon's funeral mass.
