Two men have appeared in court in Belfast in connection with the seizure of cannabis with an estimated street value of £1m.
Aidan MacPartland, 29, of Derramore Gardens, Belfast, and 36-year-old Warren Arthur Martin of Ballyconey Road West, Moneymore, Derry were charged before Belfast Magistrates Court this morning with a series of drug-related offences.
Bail was refused and both men have been remanded in custody to appear in court again in three weeks.
The two men were arrested on Thursday after police from the organised crime branch stopped and searched a lorry and a taxi in the Duncrue area of Belfast city.
