A teenager was shot on Patrick Street in Templemore, Co Tipperary, early this morning.
A 21-year-old man was arrested a short time later and is currently being held at Templemore Garda Station.
The 18-year-old was shot in the abdomen.
The teen was taken to South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
