Gardaí in Co Longford have arrested three men as part of their investigation into the discovery of a pipe bomb at a house in Edgeworthstown last February.
One man in his 20s was detained in Dublin early this morning and brought for questioning to Roscommon Garda Station.
Two others, said to be aged between 40 and 70 years of age, were detained in Co Longford and are being held at Longford Garda Station.
The Edgeworthstown incident was one of several involving pipe bombs in the region over the last 18 months.
