Around 50 protestors have been staging a demonstration at the gates of the Mosney Accommodation Centre over plans to move some asylum seekers to another centre in Dublin.
Most of the protestors are asylum seekers.
The Department of Justice said there are around 50 asylum seekers remaining in Mosney who are due to move to Dublin.
It was originally proposed to move the unmarried asylum seekers last month but following protests the date was moved to today.
The Reception and Integration Agency wants to move the asylum seekers to Hatch Hall in Dublin city centre.
The Department says the reduction from 800 residents to 650 in Mosney would save around €1.8m a year.
However, many of the asylum seekers involved say they do not want to move because they believe conditions in Dublin are worse and many said they have health concerns.
They are also highlighting the length of time it takes to process their asylum applications.
Several organisations and charities also expressed serious concern over the plan, including the health of the residents to be moved, and the short notice provided.
A spokesperson for the Department said people with genuine medical conditions would be allowed stay.
However he declined to say what will happen if the 50 or so residents still refuse to leave at the end of today.
